The best time to visit Peru is in the dry season, from May to October. It offers the best conditions for trekking, visiting archeological sites, and discovering the Amazon rainforest.


Paying by card is very common in touristy towns, such as Cusco and Arequipa. However, it is recommended to always have some cash on you to pay entry fees, tip the tour guide, or buy snacks.
